We offer three distinct private sauna experiences, each designed to offer a unique way to unwind and rejuvenate.

Q. Are the saunas available to all guests?

Only guests staying in rooms with a private sauna may use the sauna, as they are exclusively available to guests who have reserved a room with a sauna.

Q. What is “Modern Tōji” proposed by Rock & Steam?

“Tōji” is a traditional Japanese practice of staying at a hot spring destination for an extended period, taking time to restore and rebalance both body and mind through the healing power of onsen.
At Rock & Steam, we have reimagined this tradition for today’s busy lifestyles as “Modern Tōji,” a new way of staying that allows you to restore both body and mind, even during a shorter stay.
Through Beppu’s onsen, cuisine prepared with locally sourced ingredients, and carefully selected herbs, we invite you to reconnect with the power of the land and nature—and leave with a renewed sense of well-being that enriches your everyday life.
